Chianti Classico does the double: another 100/100 awarded to a Black Rooster wine. By Kerin O’Keefe

A second Chianti Classico wine has been awarded the highest possible score, a prestigious honor bestowed upon the entire Black Rooster denomination for just the second time in its history. This year’s award goes to the 2019 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione from Monteraponi, found in Radda in Chianti, which has been given 100 points by the noted American author Kerin O’Keefe, who described it as a “complete and impeccably balanced” wine.
