The Work: UNO “Onehundred” – 2024 – spray paints UNO’s art skillfully juxtaposes geometries, patterns, and color forms with a variety of styles that come from worlds far apart. This visual solution is a metaphor for identity (one), its changeability (no one), and the perception that others have of it (one hundred thousand). Where the whole society tends to misrecognize singularity in favor of an illusory and reassuring uniformity, the artist plays with the Pirandellian reference to validate those intuitions that are almost a hundred years old. And speaking of “one hundred”, UNO pays homage to the Consorzio Chianti Classico for their centenary with a “100” placed at the base of the bottle neck. In short, One, One Hundred, One Hundred and One, the more the merrier.

Biography: UNO is an artist who lives and works in Rome. The techniques used in his production are collage, decoupage and stencil. UNO, through infinite repetition and the frequent use of bright colors and fluorescent paints, plays with advertising techniques, modifying their purpose. But more radically, the artist invents sociological speculations about the role of the individual with his/her intrinsic uniqueness in comparison to mass society. UNO’s works are visible all over the world and he has been published in various media, such as : International New York Times, Juxtapoz Magazine, Huffington Post, Rolling Stones.
